Start a new thread to share any tips regarding anything. Need everybody helps for the input .... be it general, petua masakan, cars, gadjet etc.

Let me start with tips to avoid spyware in your computer.
Basically DO NOT click anything that just pop up in your windows.
Download Ad-Aware SE Personal and update for the latest definition file.
If possible use Mozilla Firefox to surf the internet. Get Firefox!
If you still prefer IE, please install popup blocker such as Yahoo and make sure it is ON.

Mobile phone coverage info.
Vodafone has the worst signal reception in Lancaster University.
Avoid using/buying this line if you are staying on campus.

May I also add: Spybot Search and Destroy as a complement to Ad Aware; and if you are not fussy about paying for anti-spyware software, Giant AntiSpyware seems to track down even the trickiest of spywares. A free 15 day trial period is offered.

Also, for anyone not on campus and need a free antivirus, AVG AntiVirus Free Edition comes recommended by many magazines.

Since I am the one who promote Firefox browser, I want to add something.

You will get error message when opening the clip from ClickOn3 (thanks to masitah for the link).
You can use the IE browser to open the clip.
I am not sure the actual cause but I assume it is due to Micosoft want everybody to use their software(WMP & IE)

As for me I still trust Firefox for my daily browsing.
